FAQ

Frequently asked questions about PVC-U

What is the difference between PVC-U and PVC-C?

PVC-C (chlorinated PVC) withstands higher temperatures (up to ~90 °C instead of ~60 °C) and is even more chemically resistant.

How is PVC jointed?

PVC-U/-C is usually solvent-cemented (cold welding) or flanged – fast and economical.

Is PVC-U suitable for drinking water?

Yes, for pressure pipes per EN ISO 1452 in water supply and irrigation.

Request PVC-U?

Medium, pressure, temperature, size and quantity are enough – we recommend the material and supply the complete system including fittings and welding technology.

All data are typical values for first orientation – without warranty. The applicable standard and the delivery data sheet/certificate are decisive.
